Embark on a remarkable two-day adventure in Rwanda and explore the vibrant city of Kigali before heading off to the Volcanoes National Park to encounter the magnificent mountain gorillas. On the first day, after a relaxing breakfast, visit some of the historical landmarks of Kigali such as the Kigali Genocide Memorial, Hotel Mille Colline, and the campaign against the genocide museum. Experience the taste of Rwanda’s local cuisine at one of the restaurants before setting off to the Volcanoes National Park, home to Rwanda’s precious primates. On the second day, after an early breakfast, head to the park office to be allocated your gorilla group and begin the trek to the gorillas.
Day to Day itinerary details
After a relaxed breakfast at the hotel, meet with your guide to start your Rwanda adventure. Explore the city of Kigali by visiting historical landmarks like the Kigali Genocide Memorial, the famous hotel Mille Colline, City Tour Thereafter, set off for Volcanoes National Park, home to Rwanda’s precious primates, This drive offers opportunities to enjoy scenic views of the land of a thousand hills and interact with local communities.
Early morning breakfast at the lodge before you depart at 6:30am, a short drive to the park office where allocation for the gorilla groups/briefing takes place. With a maximum of 8 pax in every gorilla group, a lifetime adventure with the gorillas where you spend 1 hour with this magnificent primate species. On return enjoy lunch at the lodge/option to freshen up and set off for Kigali, drop off at the airport/hotel.
